Lesser Arts is a cottage-industry brewery and integrated farm project located in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California.

We use simple brewery equipment to create beers from regional ingredients, some of which are cultivated and foraged on the brewery property.

In turn, the brewery contributes organic resources (compost, water, livestock feed) to onsite orchards, gardens, and pastures.

Finally, our beer and hospitality service fosters connections between patrons, artisans, agriculturalists, and other fine people.

Lesser Arts beers are assemblages of natural processes and human influence.

What makes Lesser Arts beer:

Select, whole, non-synthetic, regional ingredients.

House-propagated & wild-captured microbes.

Site-specific spring & well water.

Learned & improvised cellar techniques.

Ambient & open wort chilling.

Barrel conditioning.

Carbonation in package.

Organic waste composting.

Care, philosophy, intention, practice.
