Pop-Up Happy Hour at Yorba Wines in Sutter Creek

  • Yorba Wines 51 Hanford Street Sutter Creek, California, 95685 United States (map)

Most of the fruit in Yorba’s wines is grown at Shake Ridge Vineyard, right down the road from Lesser Arts. I’ve worked a few harvests up at Shake Ridge, driving tractors around the vineyard and delivering grapes to the small winemakers who know how good Ann Kraemer’s fruit is. These have been special times for me, and I’m excited to be making the local ingredient beers that I make right down the road.

Last week I emailed my friends at Yorba and pitched the idea of a “Friday happy hour pop-up wine and beer mingle” on November 6th. The timing couldn’t be better – I have a few lingering kegs and cases of the Autumn 2026 Harvest Pale Ale, and I’ve wanted to stop in to try the 2016 Zinfandel and 2015 Tempranillo that were released last weekend. So we’re going to be popping up alongside their wines and some casual bites at the beautiful Yorba Tasting Room in downtown Sutter Creek. I’ll be serving the draft beers until they run out, and then will be switching to can pours. 4-Packs will be available for take-away. Yorba will be serving wines by the glass and bottle, and bottles for take-away.

There will be some Lockeford brats on rolls and some other snacky food options floating around too. Don’t snooze on these - the food is going to be great. The sausages are local culty favorites.

I’m putting together a playlist to set the vibe now – so far it is trending toward heady California songwriting (deep cuts from The Mother Hips and Little Wings) and a little astral traveling courtesy of Alice Coltrane. DM or email hello@lesserarts.com with any requests.
